ep. 28

ep. 28

While exploring Capitol Reef National Park, we hit an unexpected (and literal) bump in the road and ended up in Provo, Utah!

Considering how long we were on the road, it’s honestly shocking that we didn’t have more issues with our truck or Airstream. I mean, if we were living at home we’d surely have some problems with our house. Now imagine dragging that house behind a huge truck and driving it all across the country!

ep. 27

ep. 27

Our sunset hike at Capitol Reef National Park closed out our tour of Utah parks.

Winter might not be everyone’s favorite time of year to visit Utah national parks, but we loved it. Walking through miles of red soil and snow drifts was the perfect way to spend the colder months of the year.

ep. 26

ep. 26

Canyonlands National Park is the massive Utah park near Arches and Zion National Park.

It’s the perfect place to escape the crowds that usually descend upon those more popular parks, and the views are just as stunning.

ep. 25

ep. 25

In February we found ourselves in Utah exploring the many national parks the state has to offer, including Arches National Park.

If you go to Arches, you kind of have to check out the Delicate Arch. It’s the iconic arch and even though the hike to the arch was longer for our three kids (eight, five, and five), we decided it was worth any potential meltdowns.

ep. 24

ep. 24

Is traveling the US and seeing 31 national parks amazing and super cool? YES. But we’re kidding ourselves if we don’t admit that we are equally invested this adventure for the food. In Moab, we found everything we could want! Great eats, fun kid activities, and beautiful views.

ep. 23

ep. 23

Another week, another snowy adventure in a West Coast National Park!

ep. 22

ep. 22

This week’s vlog showing off our trip to Zion National Park will be like a breath of fresh air— or a dip in an icy stream.

When we visited Zion National Park, there was snow on the ground, dried leaves on all the trees, and best of all no people!

ep. 21

ep. 21

This week, we reached a new low in our Airstream journey… literally.

We’ve made our way through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and finally, we’re here in California’s Death Valley!

ep. 20

ep. 20

We’ve visited three types of parks on our full-time travel tour of the US: national parks, playgrounds, and finally… a state park!

ep. 19

ep. 19

If you caught my Las Vegas travel guide, you know that “Sin City” is a shockingly perfect destination for families.

ep. 18

ep. 18

Even before we started full-time traveling, my kids were always on the hunt for a beach day. Keep in mind we lived in rural Arkansas. Beaches were not easy to find. You might not think our luck would have been much better… in Arizona… in the dead of winter. That’s where Lake Powell comes in.

ep. 17

ep. 17

To wrap up our tour of Arizona, we visited the Grand Canyon! I’m not sure it really counts as a cross-country road trip if you don’t see the Grand Canyon, right?

ep. 16

ep. 16

Y’all. Arizona is a big place. Looking back now, it’s hard to believe that we could spend week after week in Arizona because there was still so much we didn’t see!

ep. 15

ep. 15

Around the start of the new year, we made our way through Arizona, stopping in Flagstaff and Sedona.

ep. 14

ep. 14

Petrified Forest National Park— a place where you can wander through the woods and the desert at the same time and not see a single leaf! Sounds like the beginnings of a bad riddle, but that’s exactly what we found in our most recent adventure through the rainbow forest of petrified wood.

ep. 13

ep. 13

One year ago, I don’t think we could have imagined a Covid Christmas spent on the road. But that’s exactly what this past Christmas looked like, with socially distanced Santa pictures, late night present-wrapping in our joint living room/dining room/kitchen, and a small-space friendly Christmas tree.

ep. 12

ep. 12

If the highlight of our stop in Tucson was the tacos, then the highlight of our visit to Saguaro National Park was definitely the cacti.

ep. 11

ep. 11

This trip was all about playgrounds, pools and tacos. When we went to Tucson, it was in the middle of winter, so the heated pool and hot tub that was just a quick bike ride away from where we’d hitched our Airstream were a welcome surprise.

ep. 10

ep. 10

Between the head lamps, the elevator ride, and the Jr. Ranger activities, we had a great time at Carlsbad Caverns.

ep. 9

ep. 9

White Sands National Park was the landlocked beach day we didn’t know we needed. We visited one of the newest national parks, White Sands, in the dead of winter. But that didn’t stop us from getting a full two days of beach-like playing and relaxing in.

ep. 8

ep. 8

Big Bend National Park is a place I will never forget.

ep. 7

ep. 7

Our visit to Marfa, Texas was the perfect example of why we decided to full time travel in the first place.

ep. 6

ep. 6

When we made it to Guadalupe Mountains National Park, we did our first big hike! And by “big,” I mean a few miles. We’ve got three young kids, y’all.

ep. 5

ep. 5

Once we finished up with The Home Edit team in Nashville, we needed to find some adventure! So we headed West about as quickly as we could. If you’re wondering just how the west was won, we can tell you: with some screen time, McDonalds, and a healthy heap of flexibility.

ep. 4

ep. 4

A few weeks ago, our Airstream journey took us to Nashville. While we definitely enjoyed the ice cream, fall leaves, and parks, the main reason we were there was to get the famous Home Edit treatment done on our Airstream.

ep. 3

ep. 3

Harvest Hosts is an incredible tool if you’re living that full-time travel life.

ep. 2

ep. 2

I’m so excited to share our first destination— Hot Springs, Arkansas! I lived in Arkansas nearly my entire life, most of it in Conway, which is just 90 miles from Hot Springs. Since we’re familiar with the area and it isn’t too far from home, Hot Springs was the perfect first location.

On my first day of kindergarten, I forgot to lock the bathroom door - and this boy walked in on me.

In fourth grade, I was dared to spin the bottle - and this guy was my first kiss.

Two years ago today, I attended a concert with a group of friends
Stella performed two numbers during her school talent show today. (Watch them in my stories!) Can you even imagine dancing in front of all your 6th and 7th grade peers?! She is beyond brave! She is all love and light. Keep shining, baby girl! 💫
The happiest Mother’s Day with these three magical beings!
Because in the end, it’s not about how much you have - it’s about how much of it is real. 🖤
Reclaimed my roots! 🤎
