Boldly Asking for What You Want

Doug Budin is an actor known for his roles in Friends, Modern Family, and Two Broke Girls.

However, I first found Doug through Jeff Lewis’s show on Sirius XM and totally fell in love with his voice. His positivity and fun nature comes straight through the sound waves and into my van every time I listen.

That’s why I knew I had to dream a big dream and ask him to do the intro to our podcast. And because of your help, I connected with Doug, and now he’s the voice you hear every time you listen to the intro of a Zimmerman Podcast episode!

Build a Business You Can Sell So You Can Pivot, Not Quit It

Today, I’m chatting with Katie Selvidge. Katie created the online and print publication Cottage Hill.

Katie loves real inspiration and wholehearted living, and used her experience as a magazine editor to shape the content of her program, Mastering Instagram for Creatives which is, by the way, the only Instagram course I believe in.

My business makes me a better mom and allows me to have a flexible work routine so I can show up for my kids. Similarly, being a mom totally determined the type of business I wanted to create, and my children continue to determine the trajectory of business today.

I Went Dark Last Month

I went dark on my instagram feed two weeks ago. I had given myself one week to write a book, and I needed total focus to make that happen.

For that one week, I holed up in a hotel in downtown Little Rock and went to work! It was grueling; a total marathon. But I got my draft to the editor by the deadline, and it felt darn good getting everything down on paper (or virtual paper, at least).

In the week since I turned in my draft, I've felt a little funky, like I have a writing hangover.
