Capsule Wardrobes and Mother Daughter Moments

It'd be great if we could #twin all the time, but I'm Mrs. black on black, and Stella is all color.

The day before school started, we went back-to-school shopping, and I taught Stella how to do a capsule wardrobe. I explained how, when you stick to a color palette, all your clothes can go together. That way, when we travel, it's super simple to throw some clothes in our Away luggage and head out.

Summer Birthday Celebrations

A few weeks ago, we celebrated all three of the kids’ birthdays.

I remember Stella’s first birthday party. I put so much thought, detail, and work into it. It was pretty, but it wasn’t that much fun. I thought about all the visuals, but had totally forgotten about the fun! Most of the guests had older kids so they wanted activities, and I had a one year old and a smash cake. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My Team of Strong Women

There's room enough for you. And the woman next to you, too.

I don't know what it is about women-- especially women in business-- but we often don't treat each other very well.

It's like we've believed the lie that there are only so many spots for women at the tippy top of the business world. There's only so much...money, influence, prestige, confidence, acclaim…to go around. The scarcity mentality tells us that if "she" gets something, then I don't get that thing.

Demystifying Features

You might recognize this wedding from Martha Stewart Weddings. It was featured there earlier this year.

This was one of my favorite weddings to date. I flew out a bunch of Bloomers (people who have taken my course The Business Behind the Blooms) to help me with the setup.

The venue was overflowing with the most beautiful floral elements you could imagine. This arch installation, a staircase installation, low centerpieces, high centerpieces, soft seating arrangements and more.

Stop Trading Time for Money: Instagram Live

Today I drove four hours to take a three hour lunch with a friend. I spend my whole work day doing exactly what I wanted (aka not really working.

I still made it home in time to pick up my kiddos from school AND my business bank account had more money in it when I got home than when I left.
