If you’ve been following along here for the past few months, then you know that we’ve started our full-time travel journey in our Airstream. I’m so excited to share our first destination— Hot Springs, Arkansas! I’ve lived in Arkansas my entire life, most of it in Conway, which is just 90 miles from Hot Springs. Since we’re familiar with the area and it isn’t too far from home, Hot Springs was the perfect first location. We were doing everything for the first time, from hitching our Airstream to our truck to navigating some wide left turns with a 30 foot trailer, to stocking our kitchen. It was nice to know that if anything went really wrong, we were close to familiar places and people who could help.

Well just after Montreal, we hopped on a train to Quebec and started our adventure there! The train was really the first adventure. I’m convinced it’s one of the easiest ways to travel with a bunch of young kids. I’d first learned about this fun way to travel through Canada from Anthony Bourdain. His episodes on Montreal and Quebec were some of my favorites, so we took inspiration from him throughout our trip.
