Once we finished up with The Home Edit team in Nashville, we needed to find some adventure! So we headed West about as quickly as we could. If you’re wondering just how the west was won, we can tell you: with some screen time, McDonalds, and a healthy heap of flexibility. Our first stop on our adventure out was was at Awesome Acres Alpaca Farm in Oklahoma City, OK, another Harvest Hosts location!

And now I’m here to give you the details you really want— what product did they use?? Here it is— my favorite items The Home Edit team used to organize our RV!
Read MoreA few weeks ago, our Airstream journey took us to Nashville. While we definitely enjoyed the ice cream, fall leaves, and parks, the main reason we were there was to get the famous Home Edit treatment done on our Airstream.
Read MoreOur Airstream got the Home Edit treatment, and our lives have been forever changed. Right around Thanksgiving this past winter, I reached out to the Home Edit team to ask if they had any availability. If you’ve been on the internet anytime in the last few months, then you know it was a big ask. And we were so excited when they fit us in!
Read MoreHarvest Hosts is an incredible tool if you’re living that full-time travel life. I talk more about it in this blog post, but basically, Harvest Hosts is a membership site that connects Airstream and RV travelers with wineries, breweries, farms, and more that will allow travelers to camp overnight in exchange for a purchase of whatever that property sells. Basically, if you’re ready to do some off-the-grid camping in your home-on-wheels, but you don’t want to be lost in the wilderness, Harvest Hosts is perfect for you! We all loved our visit to Tom’s Farm in Tennessee.
Read MoreIn the past few months we’ve been living in our Airstream, we’ve discovered a thing or two about full-time travel. When most people imagine living in an Airstream, I think they’re imagining us just driving from town to town, pulling over when we get tired, and camping underneath the stars. In reality, living the full-time travel life requires a lot more forethought and planning.
Read MoreIf you’ve been following along here for the past few months, then you know that we’ve started our full-time travel journey in our Airstream. I’m so excited to share our first destination— Hot Springs, Arkansas! I’ve lived in Arkansas my entire life, most of it in Conway, which is just 90 miles from Hot Springs. Since we’re familiar with the area and it isn’t too far from home, Hot Springs was the perfect first location. We were doing everything for the first time, from hitching our Airstream to our truck to navigating some wide left turns with a 30 foot trailer, to stocking our kitchen. It was nice to know that if anything went really wrong, we were close to familiar places and people who could help.
Read MoreWelcome to your Hot Springs National Park travel guide. In the past, when I’ve shared about our travels, I’ve always gotten so many questions about how I plan a trip. For years, this question stumped me. Planning trips comes more easily to me than almost anything. At the end of a long day, you won’t find me scrolling through Instagram, but you can surely find me researching my way to a new travel destination. I believe that what comes naturally to us is usually a huge indicator of our God-given strengths and abilities. So today, I’m sharing our travel guide to Hot Springs National Park, in the hopes that the next time you need to scratch that travel itch, it’ll be easier for you to hit the road and find adventure at Hot Springs.
Read MoreI spent months researching how to be a full-time travel family before we ever hit the road. One of the biggest questions we faced: Airstream or Fifth-wheel RV? Obviously we ended up choosing an Airstream, but not after some serious thought going into these two choices.
Read MoreTraveling in an Airstream has been a goal of mine for years. But how many times has a dream become a reality only to… kind of fall flat and disappoint. One of my favorite ways to make sure that you make the most of your dreams is to create specific goals and intentions for your year. As we entered into this totally new phase, we wanted to be really specific about what we wanted to get out of our time as a full-time travel family.

Read MoreIt’s the start of a new year, and we’re well into our second month of full-time travel. Each week, we’re getting to see new sights, experience new things, and create new memories as a family. I’m so glad we’re on this journey. The further we get into our adventures, the more I’ve been sharing about how we ended up here, like how we downsized from 3,000 sq. ft. to 200, what our purging process was like, and why we chose to embark on this Airstream journey in the first place. When we first officially decided we wanted to travel full-time in an airstream, we knew that this meant we either needed to see or rent our home.
