Plans Get Ruined and We Explore Provo, Utah!

While exploring Capitol Reef National Park, we hit an unexpected (and literal) bump in the road and ended up in Provo, Utah! Considering how long we were on the road, it’s honestly shocking that we didn’t have more issues with our truck or Airstream. I mean, if we were living at home we’d surely have some problems with our house. Now imagine dragging that house behind a huge truck and driving it all across the country!

Can Young Kids Do the Delicate Arch Hike?

In February we found ourselves in Utah exploring the many national parks the state has to offer, including Arches National Park. If you go to Arches, you kind of have to check out the Delicate Arch. It’s the iconic arch and even though the hike to the arch was longer for our three kids (eight, five, and five), we decided it was worth any potential meltdowns.

Sometimes when we visit a national park we drive to all the park highlights. Not the case with Arches National Park! We picnicked and hiked and got real close and personal with those beautiful natural arches. We were tired and maybe a little tired of each other by the end of the difficult hike, but it was so worth it!
