I don’t know if there’s a parent alive who, at some point, didn’t dread bedtime. It’s a perfect storm. We’re usually too tired to be our best parenting selves when our kids start to fight bedtime, and it’s one thing, like mealtimes, that kids know will happen every day. At some point, I decided that if I could hack my own day by breaking it down into a set of smaller routines, then I could create a routine that made bedtime easier.
