Full Moon in Virgo
In general, Virgo symbolizes the goddess in her perfection, and therefore Virgos tends to be in control. This is amplified during the full moon; the full Moon illuminates these tendencies, allowing us to see them clearly and encouraging us to relinquish the need to orchestrate everything.
When we align with the lower side of Virgo, we expect ourselves to be perfect and know all the answers. We place too much power in our own hands. We need to remember that while yes, we are in control of many things, we are not in control of everything. Events may happen that are simply part of life and there’s nothing we can do or not do to prevent them. This isn’t a failure on our part, and it’s not something that can be avoided with perfect planning. In fact, some of the best things in life happen outside of our control.
Just like some things happen without our permission, there are things that we want to occur that we simply can’t force to unfold. There is a balance between how much we can control and how much we need to accept as destiny.
All of this means that there will be times when we feel we made mistakes or didn’t do enough or made the wrong decision or didn’t trust our intuition. The Full Moon in Virgo reminds us that we don’t have all the power.
When we try to control the outcome of every situation life presents, we undoubtedly fail at times.
Life isn’t meant to be controlled. It’s meant to be lived.
It’s not meant to be perfect or follow some schedule that adheres to our efforts. It’s messy, chaotic, and beautiful. Life reveals our greatest strengths in our darkest times, and it gives us our greatest gifts in the most unexpected ways.
When we expect ourselves to be perfect, we place pressure on ourselves to know everything at all times and not ask for help. We procrastinate, become indecisive, and hold ourselves back from fear of failure. We expect ourselves to be experts in everything and have control at all times. We forget about our brilliance and we insist on a perfection that can never be obtained. In this frequency, we suffer from anxiety over tiny mistakes and we go over details needlessly.
We also may feel that when the world praises us or tells us we are worthy, it’s unwarranted. We may feel that we do not deserve praise or recognition for our work. This may cause us to fail to receive compliments. We may also forget to celebrate our successes, feeling we don’t deserve them or that they are not big enough. Even when others want to celebrate us, we don’t allow it. In this low side of Virgo, we feel like an imposter in our own life.
Through accepting our imperfections, we allow ourselves to show up in the world and show up for others. Yes, we may make mistakes and wrong decisions, and we may fail many times before we succeed.
Mistakes are part of the process, and the process is different for everyone!
The Full Moon may bring up emotions that were not processed when they were first felt. Now is an opportunity to revisit these feelings and know that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved. Life doesn’t need to be perfect, and, most importantly, you don’t need to make the perfect decision every time. You also don’t need to regret past decisions or make yourself suffer because of things you could not possibly have known. You can handle the weight of your own emotions. You have everything you need to process your emotions fully.
Through healing, the Full Moon in Virgo offers us forgiveness. Forgiveness is one of the hardest forms of release—especially when we need to forgive ourselves. When we hold anger or resentment toward ourselves or others, we block our ability to see clearly and attract the energy we need. It holds us in a lower vibratory pattern and takes away our ability to feel and express gratitude along with love and compassion.
As you journey through the Full Moon in Virgo, ask yourself what you need to forgive. Do you need to forgive yourself for something or do you need to forgive someone else? Know that forgiving someone else doesn’t mean you have to let this person back into your life. We forgive other people for ourselves, not for them.
Forgiveness is about you and your vibration—no one else.
As you work on releasing perfectionism, you can stop vibrating in anger, resentment, and guilt. The Full Moon in Virgo reminds us that when we live in a vibration of love and acceptance of self, we align with our truest gifts. We can acknowledge the parts of ourselves that make us unique and we can give our genuine offerings to the world.
Each Full Moon brings us the opportunity to do shadow work, where we peer behind the walls of our conscious mind into our shadows. We can feel if we are resonating with the low frequencies of the energies, which shed light on this part of ourselves and reveal unconscious patterns. With the Moon’s help, we can shift into a higher vibration through release and often forgiveness.
Harness the energy of the Full Moon in Virgo to forgive yourself, trust your path, and know that you are always co-creating your reality with the Universe.
You call some of the shots, but you do not call all of them.
Every mistake is a lesson and every hardship is an opportunity to evolve your energy. Release the need to be perfect, along with the need to know all of the answers. Heal the part of you that worries excessively about the future because you feel that you can control the outcome. Instead, find a balance between taking action when needed and trusting the flow of your life.
This full moon reminds us to live from soul instead of ego. In order to do that, we need to experience an ego degradation. I talk all about this and give you steps to move towards a more soul-aligned life, living a more freedom-filled lives in my course, The Path Back to You. Join here.
