Pressing Pause on the Podcast?!
Welcome to Zimmerman Podcast Episode 100!!
It’s hard to believe that in less than two years we’ve shared 100 podcast episodes. I’ve recorded in a closet in Conway Arkansas and an Airstream in Palm Springs, California.
I’ve talked about everything from my marriage and personal finances, to how I approach stressful holiday seasons, to why checking your email is the surprising enemy of productivity.
Today, I’m sharing with you the future of Zimmerman Podcast. we’re looking back on the past 100 episodes and looking forward to the future of Zimmerman.
So I’m going to get right to the important part. After 100 amazing episodes, we’re officially ready to press pause after this first season of Zimmerman Podcast.
We’ve had weeks where we’ve released multiple new episodes and weeks where we’ve taken off. We’ve had weeks where we’ve delayed release because we still needed to tweak some things, and weeks where we’ve moved episodes around at the last minute to answer a specific need or question in our community.
The theme through it all is that we’re not doing this podcast just to do it. To check a box or make money or to keep up with a trend.
We started the podcast because there was a need in the Zimmerman community, and I knew I could educate and share with more people at no cost to them. And for almost two years, that’s exactly what we’ve done week after week.
But recently, there’s been a shift here behind the scenes, and it feels like another chapter of this business is closing-- at least for now-- to give another chapter the chance to unfold. Any day now, we’ll be closing the chapter on our Airstream journey and setting up shop in Nashville permanently.
Part of why we’re doing this is because it’s time to really dig into my book promo for Sleeping with a Stranger and another exciting announcement I have coming this fall.
I knew that to really take advantage of these opportunities, I needed to be able to focus my energy and my excitement on what’s next. And truly, this is a shift that has been in process for months and months. In a way, it feels like I’ve been ready, and I’ve just been waiting for the rest of the world to catch up.
Ron Swanson once said, “never half-ass two things. Whole ass one thing.” And that’s the kind of mentality I’m bringing to this new season in Zimmerman. I’m ready to fully focus on one thing.
In one of our very first podcast episodes, episode four with Katie Selvidge, we talked about how to build a business that can pivot as your interest, passions, and paths change. That’s exactly what I have with Zimmerman thanks to all of you.
I’m so thankful for you, my Zimmerman listeners. Some started following along when I was doing bouquet tutorials and teaching a new way to make real money in the wedding industry. Some of you started tuning in when you read my book or heard me as a guest on another podcast. Others have come along more recently to follow along with our Airstream adventure.
However you found me, I’m so glad you did. And I’ll still be updating and sharing over on my Instagram at @jessicazimmerman_ and on the blog at jessicazimmerman.com/blog. I’d love it if you stayed in the loop over there.
I’m not saying “goodbye” forever, just see ya later! And you can always listen-- and re-listen-- to old episodes right here.
Thank you for following along here at Zimmerman Podcast. It’s been a wild ride!

A Winning Website
Want to know the first step to booking more clients? You’ve got to have a website!
And not just any website, but a site built to book! If you’re just starting your business, you’re probably wondering how you can share about your work, gain clients, and start making money.
The answer to all of these is your website.
When I first started my business, I didn’t have the money to pay a professional brand expert to create the brand you see here today. But I didn’t have to. I used the resources I had to invest in my business and create a brand that would attract the type of client I wanted to work with, supported by a website that was built to transform searching brides into life-long clients.
