After weeks of hopping from national park to national park, it was time to visit an actual city again! Enter Moab, Utah.

We visited the Moab Giants dinosaur park, went bowling, and searched for Moab’s best diner. To see more, check out our travel video of Moab, Utah here and keep reading below all the details of what we did.

Here’s everything you need to do in Moab:

WHERE TO STAY

Moab Valley RV Resort 1773 N Hwy 191, Moab, UT 84532

Great location and views!

WHERE TO EAT

  • Antica Forma

    267 N Main St, Moab, UT 84532

The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but no lie, this was one of our favorite restaurants on the entire airstream adventure. The GF pizza was amazing! Check back in later this week for the Moab vlog to see the pizza footage.

    Here’s what we ordered:

    Mista salad

    Salciccia pizza

    Il Tartufo pizza

  • Moab Diner

    189 S Main St, Moab, UT 84532

Our server was amazing! When I asked him what we should order— my favorite question when we’re visiting someplace new— he didn’t hesitate with his recommendations. We ordered what he suggested and were not disappointed. Oh - and it’s breakfast all day and because Perry basically only ever wants scrambled eggs and pancakes. Breakfast for dinner is a classic, and this is always a win for a dinner spot.

    Here’s what we ordered:

    Off the breakfast menu

#5 The Moab Diner's Sweetwater Skillets

Off the dinner menu

Smothered Burrito

House Favorite! Our Green Chili Specialty

Both dishes had the Green Chili recipe this restaurant is known for.

WHAT TO DO

  • Bowling at Gravel Pit Lanes

1078 S Mill Creek Dr, Moab, UT 84532

I’m a little competitive. This comes out when I bowl. I am hell-bend on beating Brian. Maybe next time.

  • The Moab Sand Hill

    38.611263, -109.608513

So… this is exactly what it sounds like. A hill made of sand. The Moab Sand Hill is across the street from the entrance to Arches National Park. There is a huge parking area, so just be careful when you’re coming in and out of the parking area as there are fast cars!

  • Dead Horse State Park

Perfect place to watch the sunset! Approximately 248 miles southeast of Salt Lake City— nine miles northwest of Moab on US 191 and then 23 miles southwest on Utah 313 to the end of the highway.

  • Moab Giants Dinosaur Park

    112 W, SR 313, Moab, UT 84532

We might have taken a break from hiking, but we still got a walk in exploring the dinosaurs at Moab Giants.

THE NATIONAL PARK

There are several within driving distance! Check them out here.

PLAYGROUND

Swanny City Park

400 N 100 W, Moab, UT 84532

BONUS STOP

I loved shopping at the Moon Flower Coop, a lovely holistic health and natural food store.

39 E. 100 N. Moab, UT 84532

Moab was a perfect stop back in civilization. When we first started our Airstream journey, I thought I’d be drawn to business and cities. Through the months and miles, I found myself more and more drawn to nature and quiet. Still, a few stops in a fun city like Moab are a great way to break up the outdoorsy adventuring!
