My Four Unexpected Camera-Ready Makeup Favorites
I never thought I’d be writing a post like this.
And honestly, I still kind of can’t believe it.
But if I claim to be a professional over-sharer, I can’t just share about helpful, life-changing things like business education, therapy, or self-care.
I also have to share when you all ask me what makeup I’m wearing.
Which, although I’m no makeup expert, happens a shocking amount of times after weeks when I have a course launch.
Which is why I have to honestly answer that my new favorite makeup is Mrs. West by KKW Beauty, Kim Kardashian’s makeup line.
I know.
But I was in Ulta with Stella the other day and walked past a display that caught my eye. With its warm neutrals and sleek lettering, I was already intrigued by the time I noticed what the brand was.
I knew I needed to get my face camera-ready as I’d spent most of quarantine in my Christmas pj’s, and I needed to look at least semi-professional for a week of online teaching for my course The Business Behind the Blooms.
So I grabbed a few things. And let me tell you, I am in love.

The Best Highlighter
This highlighter is like a ring light in makeup form. If you want to look glowy, like you’ve just had a facial or gone of vacation when, in reality, the last time you washed your face was a week ago, this is the highlighter for you!
Lip Liner in Love
I’m always on the hunt for a lip color that’s a subtle nude that doesn’t make me look like a corpse. In my experience, nude lipstick either really works for someone, or really doesn’t. Somehow, this nude color has just enough warmth and rosy undertones that it’s universally flattering.
Creme Lipstick in Love
I love the consistency of this lipstick. When I’m on camera, I’m talking.
A lot.
So I expected this creamy texture to move around, smudge, or dry out. It did not! Between this and the lipliner in the same shade, my lipstick stayed put and looked shiny and moisturized throughout all my on-camera chattering.
The Perfect Palette
I don’t know how many times I’ve bought an eyeshadow palette and loved only used one or two shades, leaving the rest alone. This palette has the perfect amount of shades in all the colors you’ll want to use day after day. The colors blend beautifully, and there’s such a good mix of shimmers, glitters, and matte shades. It’s the perfect palette.
